John Dillinger
John Dillinger was born on June 22, 1903, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He came from a working-class family and had a troubled childhood, often getting into trouble with the law at a young age. Dillinger's criminal career began in the early 1920s when he started robbing grocery stores and gas stations. He was eventually arrested and served time in prison for these early crimes. After his release from prison, Dillinger escalated to more serious crimes, such as bank robbery. He became notorious for his daring heists and his ability to evade capture. Dillinger was known for using disguises and aliases to avoid detection by law enforcement. One of the most infamous incidents associated with Dillinger was the "Great Escape" from the Crown Point, Indiana, jail in 1934. Dillinger reportedly carved a fake gun out of wood and used it to bluff his way out of the jail. This escape solidified his reputation as a master criminal and made him a legend in the eyes of the public.
