After healing, he took it back to the river but he was surprised to find it in his bed at home. Ad decided to leave it and the over time, their bond grew stronger, and Chito was able to swim and interact with Pocho without any fear.

They performed together in shows where Chito would swim, ride, and even kiss Pocho. The performances aimed to raise awareness about the importance of conservation and protecting wildlife. Interacting closely with wild animals can be dangerous and should only be attempted by experienced professionals. Unfortunately, Pocho passed away in 2011 due to natural causes. Despite his loss, Chito continues to share their story and promote conservation efforts in Costa Rica.
